These Genie Scientific Fume Hoods are portable!

The hood has a built in backward-curved 120 blower with variable speed control to maximize efficiency and minimize motor noise. It sits on top of a fully welded tube chamber with Plexiglas windows for viewing on all four sides. The front sash is a fold-up door to allow for loading and unloading of apparatus and experiments. It comes with an 8′ power cording, thus eliminating the need of an electrician to hardwire. It has the added option of sitting on a fully welded mobile cart making it truly mobile! The hood is made to the standard size of 36″ wide, giving it enough working space while still remaining small enough to be portable. However, just like all Genie products custom sizes are available.
There is the added option of having the fully welded frame constructed from type 304 stainless steel, adding even more versatility to this already flexible fume hood. But wait there is more! The slanted front model provided user comfort and better viewing of interior procedures. They can be equipped with service fixtures, even a polypropylene or epoxy resin cup sink to allow the use of a water fixture.
This fume hood would be a perfect option for users in pilot programs or initial stages or research and development. You can keep costs down while still safely getting the job done. These units are not to be for heavy chemistry use. Light to medium is appropriate. Most applications include; weighing, chemical sampling, chemical preparation such as in an electron microscopy or histology laboratory, forensic and pharmaceutical applications. They are utilized in a variety of industries, including laboratory, chemical, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, commercial, and industrial. Never use radiochemical or perchloric acids in a portable hood. You need to use a radio isotope hood or perchloric acid fume hood respectively.
